Lightweight and sexy
Thanks to its low weight, the JAM² can climb every mountain – and it will do it in style. The e-drive is perfectly integrated into the down tube and very little energy is wasted thanks to the low weight of the bike.

Optimal suspension performance in any situation
The F.O.L.D. chassis has been specially designed to meet the increased demands placed on e-MTBs. This means that Focus can also guarantee the perfect mix for the e-All-Mountain JAM²: F.O.L.D. is extremely sensitive while being progressive enough to prevent a harsh bottom out.

Handling characteristics matter
Focus uses only those drives and batteries that enable them to create a modern, agile and aggressive geometry for the JAM² thanks to their compact construction. This means that you will have just as much fun out on the trail as with the non-electric JAM.

150 kg system weight
All bikes have been approved for a system weight of 150 kg without any compromise in regards to intended use. Not only does this prove the reliability of our bikes, it also provides heavier riders to discover their happy place safely.

Tool bag
Between the top and down tube we have placed a handy tool bag. It’s just big enough to carry a tube, a mini tool and a tiny pump. It’s well secured with two Allen screws and perfectly integrated into the design of the bike.

USB-C
Nicely placed at the bike’s main switch, we have integrated a USB-C charging option. There you can power up your phone or GPS.

Kickstand adapter
We have designed an almost invisible option to mount a kickstand. All bikes come with a tiny adapter to use an 18 mm standard kickstand. For everyone else, it’s almost invisible.

Technologies

BATTERY INTEGRATION
Own developed battery system with 720 Wh. Fully integrated but still easy to remove with external and internal charging options. For everyone who wants to take the battery out for charging, you just need to unscrew one single bolt to slide out the battery. For everyone else, you can just charge the bike at the lower end of the down tube. The design of the battery is unique due to its shape. Since the downtube is slightly curved to realize wellworking geometries.

FOCUS OPTIMIZED LINKAGE DESIGN F.O.L.D.
F.O.L.D. stands for FOCUS Optimised Linkage Design, and offers the ultimate in rear suspension. The patented F.O.L.D. kinematics make it possible to optimise the rear triangle for an extremely wide range of different requirements: F.O.L.D. is extremely sensitive while being progressive enough to prevent a harsh bottom out. Focus has updated F.O.L.D. for the model year 2020. The chainstay is now more rigid, without forgoing the proven advantages of F.O.L.D.. How does that work? The guidelink now moves in the mainlink and it now consists of two components, screwed together. It is more rigid, because the forces exerted are now channelled directly through the link and no longer via the bridge. The integration of the guidelink also means that the linkage is more streamlined. The damper is now on the head, guaranteeing perfect kinematics and low weight with the new design.

COCKPIT INTEGRATION SOLUTION C.I.S.
C.I.S. stands for Cockpit Integration Solution and summarizes all internal cable routing on the cockpits of our road, gravel and mountain bikes. We developed several C.I.S. stems specifically to the needs of the bike category, f.e. an aero stem for the IZALCO MAX or a super short stem for our mountain bikes. They all have in common that they route all cables through stem and headset into the frame while still providing perfect functionality for both electronic and mechanical shifting. As a result, your cockpit looks super clean and the cables are protected internally.

FLIP CHIP
Thanks to the FOCUS FLIP CHIP you are not determined to one wheel size when buying our JAM² E-MTB. There are two positions for the axle at the dropout: The « low position » is optimised for 27+ tyres, the « high position » perfectly fits 29″ wheels. The suspension fork of your E-MTB can take both tyre dimensions. This means you can ride your E-MTB with 29″, 27+ and as Drifter (29″/27+). The postmount adapter for this wheel change is included in your delivery.
